Welcome to the Lil Bandit Line Dance Group! Line dancing is a great way to have fun, meet new people and get your exercise in. We have classes ranging from absolute beginners to advanced, start with absolute beginner classes and take it as far as you want!

In New Zealand, line dancing is a huge community that puts on events that are open to all (socials and workshop events), so you can dance with people from all over NZ and be taught by some amazing tutors from all over the world.

We all start somewhere, whether you’ve danced before or this is your first go, it’s important to remember we all make mistakes! You get out of it what you put into it!

Hi!

My name is Hailey, I’m the owner and tutor at Lil Bandit's and I’m so excited you’re thinking about giving it a go! I started line dancing when I was 8 years old, as a shy kid who wanted to dance but was never confident enough to give it a go, line dancing was the perfect solution for me. I could learn actual steps and as I got more confident, started adding my own style and steps to it. After taking a break through my late teens/early 20s and having my son, I needed a place that was mine where I could go, feel good, exercise and socialise. Going back to line dancing was a no brainer!

A few months after I started back, I was asked to take up a tutoring position and from there I never slowed down. I now run 8 classes a week, from absolute beginners to advanced and even an amazing class I run with people who have extra needs (one of my favourite classes).
